Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to get to know more about me! I am 7 years into my recovery journey from drugs and alcohol and God has given me a heart for women who have been trafficked. My personal experience in the trauma that comes with being used, abused, manipulated (and everything else that comes with addiction) will allow me to empathize with each woman who enters this program. I understand the fear. I understand the imprisonment. I understand the loss of self.

I will be able to use my personal past conflicts of being in the legal system, losing custody of my daughter, being homeless, relapsing several times, being in abusive relationships, sexual trauma, and mental torment to give each woman encouragement, hope, and sound advice on how to overcome difficult situations like these.

What does all of this have to do with sex trafficking, you may wonder? A lot. I know what it's like to have that burning desire to just be loved. I know what being forced to do what I don't want to do is like. I know what having a target on me is like.

I want each and every woman to know that I deeply understand! I get it! And I'm here to offer them a home where they can safely take the necessary steps towards independence.

I've been through years of therapy myself and will commit to having a mentor so I can properly navigate what comes my way once the home opens.

God has also given me a strong desire to help women live Holy-Spirit-filled lives for Him! I believe in being led by The Holy Spirit and am committing everything I do to God. Jesus set me free from my chains and I want to offer His Hope & Salvation to all women who have struggled with trauma and/or addictions. I want them to experience the true freedom that comes in living for The Lord.
